How to change your older save to the newest version!

If you go into the files and then, i think, copy the folder called “save” in the “www” folder into a newer installation and put it back into the same spot you should be be able to keep your current save but with the newest version of Twog Trodgening instead! If this doesnt work then please try and search up a tutorial since I dont know any other way to do this, maker sure it's for RPG Maker MV though when searching!
